Joy Giver Services Joy Givers provide live music and interactive music-making experiences as people wait in line for breakfast and as they dine. Joy Givers invite Joy Receivers to be passive listeners, to request songs from the audience, and to participate actively in the music-making circle. The circle provides a safe structure in which Joy Receivers may converse with Joy Givers and make music with drums, guitars, and rhythm instruments.
Resounding Joy Results TACO staff members report that on mornings that Joy Givers offer music-making during the breakfast offering, the facility atmosphere is calmer and the environment safer. Receivers participating in the music-making circle enjoy the opportunities for self- and emotional expression as well as social acceptance and an increased sense of community.
