The Resounding
Joy mission is to promote emotional,
mental, physical, and spiritual
well-being through supportive music.
Resounding Joy uses principles and
approaches developed from professional
music therapy practice to train
non-musician volunteers—Joy
Givers—to provide supportive
music services to Joy
Receivers—adults and children
with special needs. Resounding Joy
builds partnerships
among faith-based and community-based
organizations and Joy Receiver referrals
from any source.
In January
2004, Wheat
Ridge Ministries, an independent
Lutheran charitable organization
that supports new health and hope
ministries, awarded a $38,000 grant
to fund Resounding Joy for two years.
Annual fundraising events now generate
income required to sustain and expand
the program. Resounding Joy gratefully
accepts tax deductible donations.
