Top 10 JOYful Happenings of 2010!
1. Sound Minds made nearly 2,000 contacts for teen parents & their babies during music therapy sessions supported by the County Office of Education; our program will continue at both schools til June 30, 2011.
2. Semper Fi Fund - funded a pilot music therapy program at Balboa Naval Hospital for veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury & Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. 137 contacts were made and it was so well received, that now there will be two weekly sessions in 2011!
3. Healing Notes program is ready to expand its horizons! Will be serving children with cancer and cardiac diagnoses at Rady Children's Hospital thanks to the Ariana Fund and Kiwanis Club of Poway. RJoy music therapists received certification (NICU MT) to serve premature infants and their families - coming to a NICU near you!
4. RJoy continued to provide services bi-monthly to homeless men and women through the partnerships with TACO and the YWCA of San Diego - both to continue in 2011!
5. Four Joy Giver Trainings were held to train 31 volunteers and 8 Joy Giver Mentors! RJoy also held its 2nd annual Junior Joy Giver Camp for 12 youth volunteers.
6. Museum of Making Music held RJoy's "The Music in YOU" music-centered wellness series, reaching about 130 children/families and adults.
7. RJoy is now plugged into online Social Networking!

8. RJoy provided 15 music-centered educational experiences --
Music & the Library Events for kids, families, and adults to the South Clairemont and Mira Mesa Branches for nearly 150 library patrons - more sessions to come in 2011!
9. Four FRIENDraising House Concerts held throughout 2010. A special thanks to our performers: Veronica May, Jimmy Patton, Brian VanderArk, The Flounders, and Berkley Hart.
