Military personnel in active duty enroll in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) when they have a family member with a physical, emotional developmental, or intellectual disorder that require specialized service.
Consistent music therapy for these families can help to alleviate stress, foster growth in deficit areas and provide opportunities for expression.
Currently, there are no music therapy organizations affiliated with these populations at the EFMP at any of the three local bases" MCRD, Pendleton, and Miramar.
